What a cute little girl!
OK, so this is a topic that truly has had our heads spinning for the last few months. It is such an important topic and it seems the more we learn, the more we have to question.
Hopefully you have had the chance to read through our archive from at least December 08 to receive the countless numbers of hours we have researched this subject. We have also interviewed a couple amazing experts in toxins and toys and will be running one of those interviews very soon.
These posts are so valuable to parents like all of us. When implementing the safe alternatives we offer, we are giving our children the gift of safe play and lasting health and well-being.
So, onto your question.... is there any brand that is 100% safe? Let's just say that there are some brands we really really love.
We gave Plan Toys our toy manufacturer of the year award this year because we were blown away with everything we saw, and everything our children loved from them. Their values are great!
Green Toys are made from recycled milk jugs and are pvc-free, lead-free and phthalate-free.
You can always check out our astore (amazon affiliate) to see what toys we recommend there too.
Also, very soon, we will be posting an graph that will inform parents of the manufacturers that are pvc and lead free. But, as you already know, there are many toxic substances that can hide in our toys and environment.
Healthytoys.org also has a data base of toys and they will let you know of other potential toxins there too.
When looking for a toy for your child, know what the symbols and toy safety regulations are, so that you can make the wisest choices. We did a post on all this too.
Hopefully this helps. It may take a little reading in our Dec. archive to really verse yourself in toy safety, but it is worth it. Rake in on our late nights, and uncountable research hours simply by reading a few posts.
Keep up the great work of being a caring and conscious mama, we appreciate that!
